A measure of age

I had a stunning revelation when I drove into work on Friday. As I got to the dirt parking lot where the staff park (to leave the closer pavement parking for the patients) I noticed ruts and dirty everywhere and the tell-tale swirls of someone doing donuts the night before. *scoff* "who does that sort of thing? That's just reckless!" - I thought to myself.

*shock*....
*stop dead in my tracks*...
*realization* - I USED TO DO THAT!!!!!!

My friends used to tear up every bit of flat dirt and grass within a 10 mile radius of town! I used to do donuts in the grocery store parking lot on Christmas eve as a tradition with my brother! I have been in a vehicle that was pulled over for "excessive smoke" while doing a burnout that sadly got caught by the cops!....and it was all  great fun.

And now, here I sat, in my rental SUV, scoffing and thinking nasty thoughts about the young ruffians that did this to our parking lot....

I'm old :(
