The best part of waking up...

....is coffee in my cup! Well, on work days it is. In thailand I almost never drink it, but it is an absolute necessity here to have something warm on my desk to sip between patients.

I used to stop at Robins every morning, but I have up dairy for lent, so I've been making coffee at home so that I can add soy milk and put it in my travel mug.

This morning I decided to have a nice long webcam online with my best friend Amanda, which put me a bit behind in getting ready. Ran downstairs, threw coffee and water in the machine and hit go while I ran back up to brush my teeth and pretend that I care about my hair. Came whipping back downstairs but there is no pot in the coffee maker. Who moved the pot? Oh wait...I live here alone...hmm....if there is no pot....where has the coffee gone. Ohhhhhh nooooo.......

Thankfully - this coffee machine is incredibly intelligent and wont' actually let any coffee drip out unless there is a pot in there! Which I found out when I replaced the pot and suddenly 4 cups came shooting out. Disaster 'slightly' averted....the insides of the machine are now coated in grounds. Hopefully that can get cleaned out.

Next step - pack up for work. Got my bag, got my stethoscope, got my wallet, need to fill my travel mug. Hmmm...travel mug....not in the sink...not in the dishwasher...not in my bag. S*@$. No travel mug....so all this was for nothing.

Sigh.

Love
Pamela

Have you discovered the wonder of chocolate soy milk in coffee yet? Or the magic of the Starbucks Chocolate Cherry Mocha with soy? All I can say is magic! Let me know if you need any suggestions for the dairy free living - I have an amazing recipe for cashew ricotta cheese that I can pass your way if you'd like it. Hope you're doing well :)
