Ohhhhhh boy

I like to consider myself a handy woman. I tackle projects that the average person would not. In general, I do well at them. But on occasion, I have such a monstrous disaster that I question whether or not it is safe for me to own a tool belt and touch anything in the house.

Case in point - we are renovating the spare bathroom. My step-dad was kind enough to put up new cement board around the tub and attach the tub surround to the wall. "All you need to do is to tape and mud the drywall seems, sand and paint" - he said. Easy enough! So I went to the garage, grabbed the bucket of mud and worked away. It was trickier than I imagined to get it all smooth and get the tape stuck in there well. It took me about 2 hours to do a fairly small job, but in the end it looked OK and I was proud. I thought to myself - good day's work, off to bed I go and I'll sand it in the morning.

So this morning I got up and thought - I should really look at that bucket of mud to make sure the drying time before I sand it. Pick up the bucket....rotate to find instructions....hmmm.....it says something about putting in tiles....this is weird......rotate to label......ohhhhhhh nooooooooooooo - I mudded the drywall with tile grout.

Now on most days google can tell you just about anything, but I can assure you that when you google - accidentally used tile grout on the wall - there are no useful answers that come up.

2 hours until lunchtime when Ray comes home and finds out what I did....ohhhhhhhh boy.

Love
Pamela
