A Vacation

A Vacation...in children's fiction format....by P.E.A.

Good thing: My friend and I got to go to asia
Bad thing: It was the hot season
Good thing: It was super cheap
Bad thing: Cheap just means you buy more stuff

Good thing: Songkhla has enough great food to keep you busy all week trying new stuff
Bad thing: You gain one million pounds
Good thing: Raymond rented us a car for the week so we could see and do more
Bad thing: I made two wrong turns on the way to Hat Yai and then ran a red light
Good thing: I didn't get caught. And at least I did all that while remembering to drive on the left hand side of the road
Bad thing: I drove a little TOO far left and scraped the hubcap.

Good thing: We finished off the trip with Bangkok's Chatuchak market
Bad thing: Someone cut open Somaiah's bag and stole her wallet
Good thing: We weren't hurt, and we had already bought everything we wanted and spent most of our money
Bad thing: She had to cancel all her cards and file a police report
Good thing: To console ourselves we went to the Gold VIP movies - where you get a recliner couch seat, a blanket, and free popcorn and drinks
Bad thing:.....there are no bad things about the VIP movies :)

Today I am off to Indonesia for a week with my friends Hety and Claire that I met here in Songkhla. Hety is taking us to her hometown of Salatiga in Central Java. Should be great so long as I don't get Malaria or Dengue!

p.s. Happy Easter everyone! I ate a ton of cheese on Sunday in celebration of finishing Lent (where I had given up dairy) and now my stomach wishes Easter had never come! hahahaha
