The times, they are a' changin'

It's funny the things you notice that have changed while you were away. There are a few things that have caught me by surprise on returning to Canada this trip:

• Canadian tire has coin money
• My grocery store was completely renovated
• Winter no longer involves snow
• The radio seems to say you can't drive while talking on a cellphone, but I see it all the time....so maybe those people are shocked too and are calling their friends to let them know.
• Car keys don't have a metal key part anymore...... This one was really confusing. My rental car just has the plastic fob thingy....and you stick that in the ignition. Weeeeeeeeeeeeird.
• My cellphone doesn't have call display anymore. Did I do this? Or is this a welcome home surprise from Rogers?
• You can buy groceries at Canadian Tire....are they trying to take over the world like Shoppers?

The world can be a confusing place sometimes!

p.s. Thank you for the words of support on my last post. I made a decision I am happy and comfortable with and thankfully that job is over and I never have to go back there again :)
