Canada!

Ahhhh...the Great White North. There is a chill in the air, and a Tim Hortons in my hand, and I am happy.

As promised - Michael met me at the airport with my coat and a coffee. All my bags arrived safely and customs gave me no trouble! On the way home we took a detour to Hamilton and woke up the rest of the family gang to hang out and have coffee and then Jocelyn made me Kraft Dinner - I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning.

Today I am thankful for - lack of humidity, yummy tap water and text messaging. But I am missing warm sunshine, bottled water with elephants on the bottles, and the smell of tropical humid air mixed with outdoor fire...that hot hot smokey goodness.

I am SUPER happy that my wonderful perfect incredible man is taking me to Vegas to see the Black Eyed Peas (with our friends we haven't seen in ages) for my birthday!!! YAY!!!!!!! So after the next two months of adventures and pictures up north - I can switch gears to the happiest place on earth (for adults...I have never yet visited Disney).

So far I am doing ok with the time change....but I might need a nap this afternoon. And tomorrow its off to meet my friend's new baby who decided he should arrive while I was gone :)

Lots of love
Pamela

There was a small study at cornell (only 15 subjects, really really small) that showed positive results for curing jet lag with shining a flashlight for a few minutes on the back of the knee (the inside part). Apparently it confuses the internal clock. Unreplicated as of yet, but promising I suppose. Just in case.

If you're in the country, is a manic day in order?
