- "A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." Excerpt from the notebooks of Lazarus Long, from Robert Heinlein's "Time Enough for Love"
Incidentally- I'm not sure what is means to 'conn a ship' but I'll have to figure that out because the rest seem to be withing my scope of practice...well except for maybe the dying thing.
Lots of love
Pamela
p.s. My new wool came in the mail today....I will never be able to get homework done!
You didn't waist a minute of her time, darlin'. God sent you an angel to teach you stuff that isn't written in any book. These lessons are a bit harder and hurt a little sometimes but they'll make you an even better doctor than you already are.
