We made it safe and sound, of course with a few little hiccups along the way to add humor to the stories. First of all, in a supreme blonde moment, I tried to check in at Air Canada with a Westjet ticket. The guy at the counter did not find this nearly as funny as I did when I realized my mistake! Sheesh....they can't laugh at anything! There was a bizarre woman in tight red velour pants and red knee high boots next to us on the plane who passed out, then woke up to wolf down a candy apple, then passed out again, and then stumbled off the plane. And of course we got lost on the way to the hotel, but that meant a stop at a gas station where a lovely teenager laughed uncontrollably when I said I was lost and gave me a map for free :)

So here we are! Now can you tell which on

e of us loves winter, and which one is thinking- I'm going to freeze before I make it home?!
Today we spent most of the day touring around St. John's and the surrounding area. We saw the main street with little shops, and the one with the most pubs per square foot in all of North America. (I kid you not! I could not things like this up!)
And of course we discovered that St. John's definitely lives up to being the windiest, the cloudiest, the foggiest and the snowiest major city in Canada :)

Oh and you can see boats out our hotel window!!! HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Lots of love
Pamela
