I'm not sure what I did in life to deserve such bad karma...but I'm pretty sure that bugs are invading and taking over my apartment. Oh sorry, not my apartment - my bedroom!
Last night I crawled in to bed (lights out cause Jill was sleeping on the couch), rolled over to turn on my lamp, and realized I was face to face with a big ugly centipede sitting under my lamp. EWWWWWW. Like seriously?! I almost cried. I sat there staring at it for probably 10 minutes trying to figure out what to do. They move so freakishly fast that I knew he would likely get away. So I tried smooshing him with some kleenex, but only got some legs.
I may never sleep again. I know that there is this half legless evil marauder somewhere in my room, who's probably sneaking his buddies in the back door.
It's over. I am SO DONE with this apartment. After 2 years of floods, and broken furnaces, and elephants living upstairs who continually park behind me and block me in....I am ready to move!!! Good thing I registered on the residency application system yesterday...I am 9 short months from graduation and just less than 11 until I start living and working in some other random Canadian city....
oh wait a second....that's just as scary as the damn bugs!

Eeek. You registered? But that makes it REAL!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have weevils in the food in our kitchen. We spent our one day interval between Brad returning from Germany and me starting surgery scrubbing out all the cupboards with Pinesol and throwing out any food that we thought might harbour weevils. It worked for about 5 days, but now they're back. I HATE BUGS!
