Greetings from Roswell!

Well, I have only been here for one day…but it feels like I’ve already been on a huge adventure. Maybe that has something to do with the 14 hours of travel time it took to get here?! That part was pretty uneventful actually. The customs man wasn’t too scary, so that was good! The one eventful part was the final descent into Albuquerque. I learned some interesting facts from the man next to me. First of all, New Mexico is desert, and desert gets hot, and when desert gets hot the heat rises, and when heat rises it creates these thermal airflows….guess what airflow causes for an airplane?! Oh yeah, crazy turbulence. I’m talking – like a rollercoaster. I actually grabbed my seat at one point because we dropped so fast. There was a girl two rows up who was puking. It was nuts. And apparently – normal for this time of year!

I have already been completely convinced about the whole alien crash thing. My doc’s family and friends told me stories last night and I’m a believer already. This whole town just lives for this stuff….as shown by the Arby’s! I could tell you why I believe…but then men in black might come and take me and you away! Hahahaha….except seriously.

The other picture is from bottomless lakes national park where Dan’s daughter Laura took me on a picnic today. We went with a whole group of her friends who happen to be….engineers! I know you girls are laughing your asses off…I couldn’t make this up if I tried. It’s like the whole world knows that there’s just something about engineers that I love!

Ok, so this post is getting really long….don’t hold your breath for every post to be like this, I’m just still in the little-kid-at-christmas kind of stage.

Lots of love

Pamela

p.s. My room in the B&B is called the Rose Room...it is all pink and roses...the girliness of it is quite disgusting.

p.p.s For the inquiring minds..I am here from June 25th to July 23rd. No firms plans beyond that but I'll post about any trips I make!

    Hey girl,

I am glad you made it safe and sound. I can't believe you are going to leave me hangin' about the whole Roswell phenomenom. Maybe it is a good thing you didn't get to take season 1 with you - haha!

Anyway, you kill me with your stories as always and I can't wait to read more about your adventures.

    Love, Tiff

Glad you arrived all safe and sound.

I didn't know you liked engineering types. Now that I think about it ... a soon to be physician liking guys who usually suffer from a god complex ... who would've guessed that! ;)

I hope your stay in Roswell continues to be a positive experience. I look forward to reading more about your continuing saga.

    Love,
    Doug
