Sorry for the long hiatus...the last month or two has been a bit crazy.
I am home to Canada now from Thailand. Glad to be back, but also missing my friends there, and the amazing food. However I am NOT missing the heat! I spent a lovely 10 days in Vancouver visiting Ray's family which all went surprisingly well. I had lots of fun seeing baby pictures of him and learning how to do some Korean cooking. And we got to attend and help out with the wedding of one of his best friends since highschool, so that was really special.
Now I am sitting in my happy place - the Emerg in Marathon :) There was a bit of a mixup today. When I got off the plane in Thunder Bay I got several panicked emails asking where I was?! So I replied- "just got off the plane, on schedule to be there this afternoon". Unfortunately they thought I was WORKING today, not ARRIVING today....so emerg was wondering where on earth I was. Hahahah. Oh but Marathon is such a fogiving place, someone else covered my day, any non-urgent patients were told I wouldn't be there till 5pm, and life went on.
The drive was gorgeous, but it did remind me that there are two seasons in Ontario - winter and road construction. The wildflowers are covering all the ditches and I even saw a bear cub trying to cross the road. Thankfully everyone saw it in lots of time and we all sat there and watched until it lumbered away.
I should get back to saving lives or something....but I just wanted to say hello! And thanks for still checking my blog even though sometimes I am an infrequent writer!
Lots of love
Pamela
p.s. I got a 'pass' (as opposed to the other option being 'unsatisfactory') on my first Masters course and a "well done!" in the comment section. Yay! I'm not a moron after all! I guess this means that now I should complete more courses......
