I have reached a new level of Thai proficiency today! I managed to ride on the back of a scooter without hanging on. Hahaha. This may seem like a silly achievement, or perhaps even dangerous - but the local ladies do it all the time (I suspect partly because they don't want to touch the scooter taxi driver). These ladies are SO talented that they can sit side-saddle on the scooter, not hang on, and talk on a cellphone! I'm not quite at that level yet, but I did sit on the back (regularly, not side-saddle) while holding an iced coffee in each hand, not hanging on, and we made it safely back to Ray's work :)
Just another exciting talent to put on my resume!

p.s. I submitted my first Masters course this week! ACK! I'm terrified to see the evaluation when it comes back.
p.p.s. No Mom, I swear it is not dangerous. Plus I was wearing my helmet and my steel toed flipflops ;)
