Books

Reading books always makes me want to write a book. The trouble is - I don't have enough thoughts to fill up a whole book, or at least not thoughts all on the same subject. I think if I wrote down the random ramblings that go through my mind in the course of 24 hours - I might be locked up somewhere while scientists pondered how best to study me.

But being an author would be terribly cool. A Carrie Bradshaw type author....except not size 0, no smoking, and definitely not in Manhatten. Ok not Carrie Bradshaw. The thing is I'm a shy person who wants to be the center of attention...so writing a book might satisfy that. Maybe a book under a pseudonym!

Hmm...the trouble with that is that half the fun is being THE person who wrote that. Maybe I could write a medical book and by THE authority on something, THE book that all med students and residents turn to - like Tintinalli with Emergency, or Greys with Anatomy.

And why does a shy person want to be famous? I really don't care about money, I think I strive for the kind of fame that every Canadian dreams of at night - famous enough to go on the Rick Mercer show. That man is brilliant. I feel like if I could just be interviewed by him and do something ridiculous together (like that ski sailing thing near Belleville or skinny dipping with the prime minister...except not that one....cause ew) - I'd pretty much be set for life. I would wake up every day and laugh and feel fulfilled.

Maybe there is something in Thailand he would like to come and see while I'm here. Every show needs a travel episode right?

I always wanted to write a book too. I get ideas and I can start them... my problem is just keeping the motivation to finish them. XD

I think this is one of my favourite Rick Mercer clips. lol
