Out of the mouths of babes...

A lunchtime conversation today with my 4 year old cousin...

K: This is a picture of a volcano
P: It's lovely! Is that lava?
K: Yes! It is lava. See this is a picture of the volcano from when we were in India. And there was a bird that lived on the volcano. But the lava was coming! So I was very brave, and I said - bird! In the cage! And I saved him....*hangs head*....but he died.
P:....*shocked silence*....really? You went to India?
K: Yeah, cause he was my favourite bird, so I keep him in the shed.
P: You have a dead bird from India in the shed?
K: Yes.
P: Oh, ok.

hahahahah! Then she proceeded to tell me another story that involved a bird, who was also her favourite, but also died, and is...you guessed it - in the shed. Her creativity cracks me up. I think I should keep a log of all the hilarious stuff she tells me so I can embarrass her as a teenager :)
